Trump on Those That Claim Asylum…The End is Near

The southern border is the focus of much debate and political posturing than ever before.

While the House continues to block the President and his desire to fix the border Trump is working on other ways to stop the flow of illegals coming into the country.

President Trump is working on new regulations that would keep people coming from the south from being able to claim asylum in order to enter the country.

What the President is thinking is that there needs to be laws that keep migrants from entering the country if they are from or lived in another country besides their own homeland.

A draft of the plan is currently being reviewed by the President’s Homeland Security Advisers.

This plan is the latest idea coming from the President in order to secure the border like he promised a few years ago.

If the plan is approved it would immediately keep migrants out of the country. Many of these people may have even traveled through Mexico in an attempt to enter the country.

But they will have to wait if this plan is approved. Trump stated that he was going, “to do something very dramatic on the border.”

It is a “big league statement. It will be a statement having to do with the border and having to do with people illegally coming over the border. And it will be my biggest statement, so far, on the border. We have brought something to the light of the people. They see now it’s a national emergency, and most people agree.”

The issues at the border are growing worse every day that it is ignored by those in leadership.

The President has addressed the issue many times in the past only to be stopped by people that really do not care about the safety of the nation.

Trump has made it clear that he will not close the border yet but has stated, “The asylum procedures are ridiculous. No place in the world has what we have in terms of ridiculous immigration laws.”

The current immigration laws allows for a person to claim asylum but allows for a person to claim it in the country even if they have found another safe place to live.

Pili Tobar, who is the deputy director of America’s Voice, has stated that, “This decision will cause a chain reaction – Central Americans who are fleeing for their lives being forced back into the burning house they are escaping.”

He goes on to say that, “A rational approach … is to treat this like the regional refugee crisis that it is and bolster our asylum and refugee process instead of slamming the door shut with a childish hope that migrants will not come or conditions causing them to flee will get better on their own.”

It appears that the change would not affect those that are truly seeking asylum but only those that have already found it in another place.

If they have already found it, then there is no reason to be seeking it again in America.

The President is changing things in the Homeland Security arena as he has changed the makeup of its people.

He wants people that are willing to make the tough decisions to fix the border crisis down south.

For right now those seeking asylum will have to remain in Mexico while their request is being processed through the correct channels.

Many people that are against this decision have made it clear that all migrants will have to be refused based on the rule.

This same kind of solution was already proposed once by lawmakers a little over a year ago when it was decided to try to change the current immigration laws.

It should not strike people as odd that it is coming up again as a possible solution to a growing problem.

Lawmakers need to take a stand and start dealing with the tough issue before the problem gets more out of control.

For right now the President seems to be the only one making the tough calls that others are not willing to make for the benefit of the United States.
