Why is Sarah Sanders Leaving the White House?

Sarah Huckabee Sanders has let it known that she is planning on stepping down as the White House Press Secretary by the end of the month. The President made the announcement late this week. The President has indicated that Sanders is planning on heading back to Arkansas with the focus of running for the governor position.

President Trump has written about Sanders that, “She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job! I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas — she would be fantastic. Sarah, thank you for a job well done!” It is clear that Sanders worked well with the President and the rest of the White House staff.

Mike Huckabee is Sander’s father, and he was the Governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007. During this time he made a great difference in the state. Sanders was given an event at the White House on Thursday. Trump has stated that she is a “warrior” and that “she’s a special person, a very very fine woman. She has been so great.”

Sanders made mention that as the White House press secretary she enjoyed her job. She hinted that it was one job that she enjoyed the most. Sanders as plans to stay involved in the political world. She has stated, “I’m going to continue to be one of the most outspoken and loyal defenders of the president.” She has also mentioned that “I have three amazing kids, and I’m going to spend a little more time with them.” The press secretary job demands a lot of time and attention.

Judd Deere, who is the White House spokesman, stated that she was leaving the job on good terms and had good relationships with every person. The White House administration that deals with the press had a 45-minute notification of her leaving. It has been said that Sanders is one of the few White House staff that has been around since the beginning. She has held the position since 2017 and is the third lady to have the title of White House press secretary.

Some other people that have left or are planning on leaving are Shahira Knight, who is the White House legislative affairs director, and then Johnny DeStefano, who is the White House adviser has also stated he is leaving.

Sanders has not held formal briefings for several months. She has often when to Fox News and delivered news there. She has also briefed reporters in the yard of the White House. Some reporters have not been in favor of such moves. But showing up in order to get the news they needed for the story. Some critics have been quick to claim there have been statements that she has made that were questionable.

Some of those statements were related to rank-and-file FBI agents that had lost their confidence in James Comey. This was a statement that she used to help clear up the reason why President Trump decided to fire him as director of the bureau.

Sanders is well respected with many reporters. She even had good relationships with them when they were not reporting on the news.

The President has come to see Sanders as someone that he could confide in. She was a person that would often travel with the President on many of his overseas trips and meeting around the country.

If Sanders decides to run for the Governor of Arkansas position, there is no doubt that she would be a top contender for the position. The President of the United States has alluded to the point that she should run as governor. It would stand to reason that she would bring a lot of good and focus on the state of Arkansas.

The President will have to find someone to fill the position and it will not be an easy task to replace a person that did the job well. Trump has been known to surround himself with good people that are willing to help protect him from the onslaught of accusations that the liberals like to throw his way.
