The Wuhan Institute of Virology lab has been a point of discussion for the United States State Department for some time now. They have been warning about potential issues that could take place at this lab since 2018. Scientists were conducting bat coronavirus tests that were deemed to be quite risky.
United States officials made multiple trips to the lab over the past few years. Despite all of the warnings that were issued by the State Department, the United States National Institute of Health saw fit to provide a $3.7 million grant to the lab. They did not heed the instructions that they were given and this begs a number of follow up questions.
The deadly virus began to circulate in China at the end of last year. After attempts at early containment went awry, the rest of the globe is now infected. All of the evidence that is on hand suggests that the virus did not come about in a natural manner. No one seems to know if the virus was leaked in an intentional way or if it leaked out accidentally.
What we do know is that the Chinese started to market their own cure for the coronavirus not long after the virus started to spread outside of their borders. According to reports from Wuhan, the virus originated at the Wuhan Institute of Virology or the Wuhan Center for Disease Control.
The reports that linked the onset of the virus to bats did not start to circulate until early 2020. The Wuhan Centre for Disease Control and Prevention published a research paper that disagreed with the earlier assessment. According to this paper, a laboratory that is located near the Wuhan Seafood Market is linked to the early spread of the virus.
Former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin also has connections to the virus. As Jiang Zhicheng’s grandfather, he is linked to the same controlling interests. Zhicheng has a controlling interest in WuXi AppTec and they have control over Fosun Pharma.
We now know that United States officials took multiple times to Wuhan over the past few years. Dr. Fauci was also responsible for approving the aforementioned grant for the lab workers. Multiple urgent warnings were issued by the State Department but to no avail. The Wuhan Institute of Virology lab was found to have inadequate safety and it is clear to see that the research was questionable at best.
Now, there is a renewed level of speculation within the United States government. Officials want answers and understandably so. Are these Wuhan labs the source of the coronavirus outbreak? The citizens of the world deserve answers and it is getting tiresome to see the Chinese government working overtime to suppress the release of information.
The United Kingdom is also looking into the matter. They believe that theories about the virus being leaked from a lab in Wuhan are no longer able to be discounted. At this point in time, we need to be open to any possibility. It is just sad to think that this all could have been avoided if there was any level of transparency taking place here.
It’s no small wonder that President Trump is currently looking into all of the programs and grants in foreign countries that are being funded by the United States. Why would the US continue to fund studies that could lead to future catastrophes? Meanwhile, China still has control over many of our nation’s supply chains. The situation is definitely untenable and we are looking for someone to put their foot down.
Enough is enough. The world should not be tolerating this type of behavior from the Chinese. We cannot begin to imagine what would happen if this situation was reversed. Does anyone really think that the Chinese would sit idly by and accept any nonsensical explanation that we gave them? The United States would not be able to get away with this lack of transparency.
There is plenty of blame to go around, that is for sure. The Chinese need to be taken to task for actively working to prevent the spread of information. Maybe if they had worked this hard to prevent the spread of the virus, we would not be in this mess in the first place.
The link between the Wuhan lab and the onset of the virus needs to be explored further and we hope that the US and other foreign governments are able to get to the bottom of this. There is no reason why we should still be looking for answers after COVID-19 has been given multiple months to spread.
